Justices claim wind caused their robes to fly off during photo shoot.

Racy photos taken when the California Supreme Court was "young and naive" began circulating on the Internet today as part of a backlash over the court's 6-1 ruling against same-sex marriage.

Joining the fray, gossip blogger Perez Hilton called the high court "a dumb bitch."

The justices fired back with another 6-1 ruling that said Hilton was "a twerp." They also denied posing for naked pictures.

"It was a windy photo shoot, and our robes blew off," the court said. "We were young and naive and had no idea the photographer kept snapping pictures during the wardrobe malfunction."

Today's verdict wasn't a total loss for gay-rights advocates. In addition to preserving 18,000 existing same-sex marriages, the court ruled that "Adam Lambert totally should've won 'American Idol.' "

Nevertheless, the justices chastised gay activists for attacking "safe targets like Miss California and the Mormon church" while ignoring President Obama's 2007 remark that, "tradition and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman."

Although Californians remained split over gay marriage, they agreed on one issue: "I demand to know who dissented from the ruling that Perez Hilton is a twerp," one blogger wrote. "We'll start recall proceedings tomorrow."
